Sorry that I have been delayed in thanking you for your e-mail. I have been out of town. Wow, what depressing news about Sally. I had hoped that her death was quick and painless.

I am thrilled to hear that you come to Atlanta. We live just off of Peachtree Road in Buckhead. Very close to Roxboro Road. It would be so much fun to see you and really catch up. Even though B'ham is so close to Atlanta, it has been years since I have been there to visit. I do keep up with some of the news through my garden club friends in B'ham like Louise Wrinkle.

It is very sad to think about missing the reunion, but I have no choice. I have an obligation in Texas that has been on the calendar for a year. I am going to send Betty Knight a check to help defray some of your expenses, and hopefully someone will send me one of the books that are being compiled; I am in the midst of filling out my informational sheet!

I am sending a photo which was taken with a friend at the Atl Botanical Garden during our recent Southeastern Flower Show. I am the "still short" one on the right.
